On this project, NuPump was contracted by the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for the installation of 2 floating docks at Codorus State Park. We constructed 2 cast-in-place abutments with spread footings to hold the 80′ long aluminum gangways that bridged the gap between the shore and the floating dock. The docks were installed during the summer when the lake level was low. 12 Manta Ray earth anchors were installed 50′ below the water’s surface into the lake floor and attached to the dock with a cable and winch system designed to keep the docks in place. The docks that we installed added 72 slips to the park’s existing marina allowing more visitors to enjoy the parks aquatic activities. All work was performed without any disruption of the park’s normal operation despite the fact that the work was performed at the height of the summer season.
